Boulder OSMP Post-Fire

The goal of this outing was twofold: first, to get in the sunshine and do some quiet meditating beneath the trees; second, to see firsthand the effects of the Flagstaff fire.

Looks like we need to get closer for a better look. The trail to Bear and SoBo has since been reopened.

The look up Green's delightful derrière from the West slopes.

My FIANCE (although when this was taken, she still had no idea of how "elusive" and "romantic" my thoughts had become... slowly meandering into the realm of "will you marry me?")!!!!!
One we got to the top, we pushed aside some low-lying branches to expose a secret garden of mountain solitude on this oft-traveled peak. We did some meditating, then we dined, then we respectfully left our mountain fortress of peace as we'd found it.

Meditation views.... mmmmmm.

Om.

Om.

So well hidden from the other side! Oh, how nature's majesty can deceive the untrained eye!
As always, it was a good time in the mountains.
